What is
Occupational therapy?
Occupational therapy is a health profession that helps people accomplish the activities and roles they care about, despite their limitations.
For the person with dementia:
-
I suggest ways to adapt everyday activities and the environment.
-
I support or strengthen their cognitive abilities to help them maintain their autonomy and their engagement in daily activities.
For caregivers:
-
I offer strategies to better understand and meet the needs of the person with dementia.
-
I help you identify your own needs and promote a balance between your various roles and activities.
